3000 series aluminum rods mainly represent 3003 aluminum tube. Our 3000 series aluminum alloy production technology is relatively good. 3000 series aluminum rods are made of manganese as the main component. The content is between 1.0-1.5, which is a series with better anti-rust function.
Manganese is the major alloying element of alloys in this group, which are generally non-heat-treatable. Because only a limited percentage of manganese, up to about 1.5%, can be effectively added to aluminum, it is used as a major element in only a few instances. One of these, however, is the popular 3003 aluminum alloy tube, which is widely applied as a general purpose alloy for moderate-strength applications requiring good working ability.
3003 aluminum alloy tube is an AL-Mn alloy, which is the most widely used anti-rust aluminum. The strength of this alloy is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum) and it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Therefore, cold working method is used to improve its mechanical properties. High plasticity in the annealed state, good plasticity in semi-cold work hardening, low plasticity in cold work hardening, good corrosion resistance, good welding ability. Mainly used for low-load parts that require high plasticity and good welding ability, working in liquid or gaseous media, such as fuel tanks, gasoline or lubricating oil conduits, various liquid containers and other small-load parts made by deep drawing: The wire rod is used to make rivets and the 3003 aluminum plate has good forming ability, welding ability and corrosion resistance. It is used for processing components that require good forming ability, high corrosion resistance and good welding ability, or requires both these properties and higher strength than 1XXX alloys.
Heat Treatment Process
1. Complete annealing: heating 390~430°C, depending on the effective thickness of the material, holding time 30~120min, cooling with the furnace to 300°C at a speed of 30~50°C/h, and then air cooling
2. Fast reading annealing: heating 350~370°C, depending on the effective thickness of the material, holding time 30~120min, air or water cooling.
3. Quenching and aging: quenching at 500~510°C, air cooling; artificial aging at 95~105°C, air cooling: natural aging room temperature 120h
