Stainless steel industrial welded pipe is a hollow long round steel, mainly widely used in petroleum, chemical, medical, food, light industry, mechanical instrumentation and other industrial pipelines and mechanical structural components.
According to ASME SA249 Specification, TP304 stainless steel tube is welded. So usually we also say ASME SA249 TP304 Welded tube. Comparing with TP304 Seamless tube, the SS304 Welded tube can save cost. Nowadays, more people use SA249 SS304 Welded tube to replace SA213 TP304 Seamless tube, especially in the filed of heat exchanger, boiler and condenser system.
In addition, when the bending and torsional strength are the same, the weight is lighter, so it is also widely used in the manufacture of mechanical parts and engineering structures.
According to different manufacturing processes, it can be divided into several basic types: hot rolling, extrusion, cold drawing and cold rolling, and can be divided into round tubes and special-shaped tubes according to the cross-sectional shape.
For steel pipes under fluid pressure, hydraulic test or Eddy Current test is required to check their pressure resistance and quality. It is qualified if no leakage, soaking or expansion occurs under the specified pressure. Some steel pipes also need to be crimped according to standards or requirements of the buyer, such as Flaring test and flattening test.

Production process
Raw material strip - slitting - welding pipe - heat treatment - straightening - straightening - trimming - pickling - hydraulic test - inspection (printing) - packaging - delivery
Material of stainless steel welded pipe: 304/304L, 316L, 310S, 321, 904L, 2205/2507.
Welding Method: TIG, PAW, SAW, one of them all combined.
Executive Standard: GB/T12771-2008, ASME SA249, ASTM A1016M.
Production Capacity
OD12~325mm with tolerance ±0.3mm. Custom Size/Stock Size has 12.7mm, 15.875mm, 19.05mm, 25.4mm, 31.8mm, 38.1mm, 50.8mm, 76.2mm.
Tube Wall thickness: 0.5~8mm with tolerance ±10% or as request. Both average thickness and minimum thickness are accepted. Normal thickness we have is 0.71mm, 0.89mm, 1.0mm, 1.25mm, 1.65mm, 2.11mm and 2.77mm for international market.
Length: 20~30meters with positive tolerance 3-5mm
Delivery Condition:
Annealed and Pickled (AP), Polished, Bright Annealed (BA), Cold Drawn, Mirror Polished.
Surface Finish:
Mirror Finish ASTM A249 Standard Tube or Customized Finish as per client’s requirement.

Mill Test Certificate is with EN10201 3.1 certified. We also accept inspection from third party such as SGS, BV, TUV to get EN10204 3.2 certificate.
