As a professional aluminum fin tube manufacturer in China, we have totally 30 production lines for extruded fin tube and 6 lines for L foot tension aluminum fin tube (KL Fin, LL Fin, G Fin).
According to different fabrication finning process,Carbon steel tube with aluminum fin can be carbon steel tube with extruded aluminum fin type, or carbon steel tube with L Tension aluminum fin type/ Double L Fin Tube/ Aluminum KL Fin Tube and Aluminum G Wound Type Finned Tube.
If dividing by carbon steel tube grade, the base carbon steel tube can be seamless Tube such as SA179, NACE MR0175 SA179, SA192 Tube, SA213 T11 Tube, SA213 T5 Tube, SA334 Gr.6 Tube, etc. It can also be welded carbon steel tube, such as SA214 Welded carbon steel tube.
For international market carbon steel tue with aluminum fin, the most normal applied tube OD is 19.05mm, 25.4mm and 31.75mm, with aluminum fin height about 15.875mm.

Carbon Steel Tube with Aluminum Fin Extruded Type
The base carbon steel tube with smaller tube OD is inserted into a large tube OD aluminum muff tube, and then the muff aluminum tube is rolled by 3 sets of cutting to form the fin on tube surface. Maximum length we can do is 18280 meters.
After finning services, the fins at tube ends will be stripped off according to customer’s required length. Sometimes the tubes ends may be covered with a thick aluminum muff on the surface, this is for the purpose of protect the base tube from corrosion resistance after installing into the header box.
Carbon Steel Tube with Aluminum Fin L Foot Tension Fin Type
The carbon steel tube is as base core tube, then wrapped by aluminum strip or copper strip through tension, the fin type seems like “L” shape, so it is also called carbon steel tube with L type aluminum fin. Several fins at tubes ends will be fixed with staples in case of loosening.
Carbon Steel Tube with Aluminum Fin KL Fin Type
Similar to L Foot Tension Fin Type, the fabrication process is same, only difference is the formed fin type, the fin on tube basis seems like knurled L shape, so it is named Aluminum KL Fin Tube.
Carbon Steel Tube with Aluminum Fin Grooved G Fin Type
Embedded fins (G-Fins) are produced by winding aluminium or copper strip into a helical groove machined on the outer surface of the tube. Depending on base tube material and fin material, the G Fin groove depth is different. The base tube is seamless carbon steel tube such as SA179 seamless tube or SA192 Tube.
