Single metal fin tubes are extruded from a whole aluminum tube, and they also called monometallic aluminum fin tubes. They have no contact thermal resistance, high strength, heat and mechanical vibration resistance, good thermal expansion performance, and bigger expanded heat exchange surfaces. Some finned tube manufacturers also use steel tubes or copper tubes to extrude.

The double metal finned tubes can be divided into stainless steel aluminum combined extruded fin tube, carbon aluminum combined extruded finned tube, copper aluminum composite extruded finned tube. The extruded finned tubes are usually made of steel tube or stainless steel tube or copper tube as the base tube, and the fins are rolled from aluminum tubes. So, the double metal finned tubes are combined tighter, smaller thermal resistance, greater heat transfer performance, and not easy to deform at extreme conditions.
